About me

Hello, my name is Lindsay Rayball. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a wide array of clinical experiences. I graduated summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University. I became independently licensed while working as an outpatient therapist at a community behavioral health agency. Before becoming a therapist, I was a social worker serving low-income children and families with intense behavioral health needs. This experience was a crash course on the many agencies serving children and families.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a social worker serving low-income children and families with intense behavioral health needs. This experience was a crash course on the many agencies serving children and families, including collaborating with the school system to ensure an optimal environment for each child and working through the complexities of the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) to get the best care and support. I frequently collaborated with the Department of Child Safety (DCS) to support families and children who needed stability, skills, and healing from past and ongoing trauma. I navigated the adult and juvenile legal system to bridge the gap between mental health and criminal justice.

These experiences inform my current practice. I believe we are all part of a larger system that impacts the way we see, feel, and move through the world. For me to provide you with the best, most effective care, I make it my priority to recognize the journey that brought you into therapy. My focus is on understanding your unique experiences and guiding you towards personal growth, emotional awareness, and healthy relationships. I use an integrative approach, incorporating evidence-based treatments that consider affective, cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and environmental factors that contribute to your struggles.

Beginning therapy can be hard. Research shows the average couple doesn't start until 6-7 years after there are problems. I recognize how scary and uncomfortable it can be. Finding a therapist you connect with is a critical first step. Contact me to discuss if I am a good fit, and if not, I am happy to help you find other options.
