Individual therapy

You may be seeking therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with significant life challenges, childhood trauma, depression or anxiety, relationship issues, or simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge. As individuals, we all face feelings and memories from our unique histories. I always individualize your therapy experience based on your specific needs and work with you to break through the personal barriers that are holding you back from who you desire to be.

Individual therapy is a process where we work together in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. This provides you an opportunity to explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Together we address challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, gain personal insight, set personal goals, and work to achieve them.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) I believe that you are stuck—not sick. My approach to treatment is to view your problems as transitional rather than innate and help you to adjust and prepare for bumps along the road. Individual problems don’t occur in isolation. They occur within an organized network of interlocking relationships that fit together to function as a whole. Together we look at the whole puzzle and the way it fits together, rather than at a single piece of it, to provide you with the most comprehensive therapeutic services available and the best possible outcomes.
